Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and JESSICA PAIS SOARES ("EVA", "we", "us") about your use of the EVA desktop application and the licensing service that runs alongside it. By installing or using EVA, you accept them.
1. Who you are buying from
Your purchase is sold and invoiced by Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as merchant of record and authorised reseller. Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies to the transaction. The Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy govern that sale, and nothing here reduces the rights they give you or the rights you have under the law that applies to you.
The software itself, and the support behind it, are provided by JESSICA PAIS SOARES, registered under CNPJ 57.120.201/0001-40 (Brazil) at Rua Aracaju, 58, Vila Terezinha, São José dos Campos, SP, 12209-695, Brazil.
2. What EVA is, described honestly
EVA is an application you install on your own computer. You point it at folders of video takes, and for each folder it removes silent stretches, joins the takes, applies transitions and a subtle zoom, sends the audio for transcription, renders captions and an optional headline into the picture, and exports one finished MP4.
Cutting, joining and rendering happen on your machine, using your processor and, where available, your graphics card.
What EVA is not:
- It is not a manual editor. There is no timeline, and there are no per clip controls.
- It does not generate video, faces, voices or footage. It edits material you supply.
- It does not upload, host, publish or distribute your videos to any platform.
- It does not guarantee any audience, reach, engagement or revenue outcome.
3. What you need for it to work
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, or macOS on Apple Silicon or Intel.
- An internet connection. EVA checks your licence and your remaining video allowance against our licensing service. Without a connection it will not start a new batch.
- A transcription engine, chosen by you. The first time you open EVA you pick one of two ways to transcribe, and you can change it later in Settings:
- The local engine, included with EVA at no extra cost. It downloads a speech model to your computer once, and after that transcription runs on your own machine and works offline. Your audio never leaves your computer. The model uses some disk space.
- AssemblyAI, a third party service, using your own API key. You create an account with them, you hold the key, and you pay them directly for your usage at their rate. That cost is separate from your EVA plan and is not marked up by us.
- Free disk space for the output, for temporary files during processing, and for the local speech model if you choose the local engine.
If you choose AssemblyAI and it is unavailable, changes its terms or its pricing, or rejects your key, EVA cannot transcribe through it. We do not control that service and cannot guarantee its availability. The local engine remains available as an alternative.
4. Your licence
4.1 What you may do
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use EVA on up to two computers at a time, in any combination of the supported platforms. Both computers share one licence and one video allowance.
You may use EVA commercially. Videos you produce are yours, and we claim no rights over them.
4.2 What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense, rent or publish your licence key.
- Use one licence to serve more than two computers, whether by rotating machines, using virtual machines or otherwise.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to defeat the licensing checks.
- Use EVA to process material you have no right to use, or to produce content that impersonates a real person without their consent, that is unlawful, or that infringes anyone's rights.
4.3 Moving to a different computer
If you replace a machine, write to support@evaedit.com and we release the old activation. There is no charge for this.
5. Plans, allowance and billing
5.1 The plans

All prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that Paddle adds at checkout.
5.2 What counts as one video
One finished export counts as one video. One folder produces one video, no matter how many takes it contains. A folder that fails and produces no file does not count against your allowance.
Unused videos do not roll over. Your allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle and does not accumulate.
EVA warns you inside the app at 80% of your allowance, in the app and by email at 90%, and blocks new batches at 100% until your cycle renews or you move to a larger plan.
5.3 Renewal, cancellation and plan changes
- Monthly plans renew automatically at the same price every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time using the link in the receipt Paddle sends you. Cancellation stops future charges, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- An upgrade takes effect once payment clears. Your new allowance for the current cycle is the new limit minus what you have already used, not a second full allowance.
- A downgrade takes effect at the start of your next cycle.
- If a renewal payment fails, you have a seven day grace period during which we will attempt payment again and remind you. If payment does not arrive by the end of it, access is suspended. Paying afterwards reactivates the same licence and starts a fresh cycle.
- If we change a price or a material condition, we will tell you in advance and give you the chance to cancel before it takes effect.
5.4 EVA FOREVER
EVA FOREVER is a single payment for a permanent, unlimited licence to EVA Desktop, including updates that remain part of that product. It does not renew and is not charged again.
To be precise about what "forever" does and does not promise:
- It includes updates to EVA Desktop. It does not entitle you to a genuinely separate future product.
- It does not promise permanent human support, and it does not promise that optional third party services such as AssemblyAI will remain available or priced as they are today.
- It can only be revoked for a specific, provable reason: a refund, a chargeback that is finally lost, proven fraud or abuse, an entitlement created without a valid purchase, or a legal obligation. It will not be revoked for commercial convenience, for inactivity, or because a later version was released.
6. Your content
Your videos, takes, audio and the files EVA produces are yours. We do not claim ownership, we do not use them to train anything, and we do not receive copies of your footage.
One exception you should understand clearly: if you choose AssemblyAI as your transcription engine, EVA extracts the audio from your takes and sends it to AssemblyAI. The video itself is not uploaded. What AssemblyAI does with that audio is governed by their terms and privacy policy, which you accept when you create your account with them. If you choose the local engine, nothing is sent anywhere: audio, transcript and captions are produced and stay on your machine. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
7. Acceptable use
EVA is sold as an editing tool for material you have the right to use. You may not use it to produce or assist in producing content that impersonates a real person without their consent, that sexualises minors, that harasses or defames, that infringes copyright or trademark, or that is otherwise unlawful where you are.
We do not monitor what you edit, because your files stay on your machine. But if we are given credible evidence that a licence is being used for the above, we may suspend or revoke it.
8. Availability and updates
EVA checks for updates once a day and installs a verified version when you close the app. Updates may change, improve or remove features. We aim to keep the licensing service available continuously, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, and maintenance or an incident may interrupt it.
9. Support
Support is by email at support@evaedit.com, in English or Portuguese, with a first reply within two business days. When something fails, the app provides a "Copy diagnostic" button. That package contains no keys and no personal data, and sending it with your message usually saves a round trip.
10. Warranties and liability
EVA is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be free of errors, that it will suit a specific purpose, or that any given file will process successfully.
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to EVA is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profit, lost audience, lost data or other indirect loss.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you where you live.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a licence for non-payment, for a chargeback, for proven fraud or abuse, for a breach of section 4.2 or section 7, or where the law requires it. Where the situation allows it, we will contact you first.
You may stop using EVA at any time by cancelling and uninstalling it.
12. If we discontinue the service
If we permanently shut down the licensing service, we will give notice by email to the address on your account and provide a way for existing licences to keep working with the last eligible version.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify active customers by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not accept it. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date.

15. Entire agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us about EVA. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
